The 2009 list of National Basketball Association franchise valuations compiled by Forbes magazine and Forbes.com shows the reigning NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers are the most valuable club in the 30-team league at a valuation of $607 million USD. At $586 million USD, the New York Knicks are second best in franchise value despite their poor on-court performance for most of the past decade.
